About us

The Protestant Church in Oman (PCO) was formed as a partnership between the Reformed Church of America and the Anglican church. We are a multidenominational, multicultural, and multinational Christian church.

We meet on two campuses in Muscat and we also have a church campus in Sohar. In the capital region we have four English language congregations, an Arabic congregation, a Filipino congregation, and a Korean congregation. The PCO also oversees more than 60 sponsor congregations that meet at the Ruwi and Ghala campuses.

What we believe

We believe in One God; Father, Son & Holy Spirit.

The One who created all things has revealed himself in Jesus, he has rescued us from slavery to sin through the cross and resurrection, and he has brought us into fellowship with Himself by the power of the Holy Spirit.

As church we see our calling in four areas. Worship. Outreach. Fellowship. Growth.

We believe that the bible is God's inspired, living word, revealing to us more of Jesus and how to follow Him.

Mission

Worship

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength"

- Mark 12:30

Our primary task is to give God the glory with our lips and our lives, together and as individuals.

Fellowship

"Love each other as I have loved you"

- John 15:12

As followers of Jesus we have been made into the body of Christ; united, interdependent and celebrating our diversity.

Discipleship

"[Those] who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop"

- Luke 8:15

We are to be fruitful in our lives. Growing in our knowledge, love and obedience of God. Listening to His word, inspired by His Spirit, following Jesus.

Outreach

Go and make disciples of all nations"

- Matt 28:19

We are commanded to reach out to the world sharing the good news of Jesus the Messiah through our words and deeds.

Our Family

"And it was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for works of ministry, to build up the body of Christ"

- Ephesians 4:11-12
